La bodega Juvé & Camps fue inaugurada en 1921 y tiene una historia centenaria, fuertemente arraigada a la tierra del Penedès. Cuatro generaciones de una familia dedicada, en cuerpo y alma, a la viticultura, consagrada a la elaboración de grandes cavas y vinos. Su primer espumoso con la marca "Juvé" se comercializó hace casi cien años. La bodega se debe a la unión de Joan Juvé i Baqués y Teresa Camps i Ferrer y que hoy elabora vinos y espumosos tan reconocidos como: Casa Vella D'Espiells, Ermita D'Espiells, La Miranda d'Espiells, Juvé y Camps Milesime, Gran Juvé Camps, Reserva de La Familia Juvé y Camps.
Las fincas.
Armonía de tierra, luz y agua. Aire mediterráneo en las cepas. Respeto por la naturtaleza. Equilibrio medio ambiental, biodiversidad y rigor vitivinícola. Las 271 hectáreas de cuidados viñedos, propiedad de Juvé & Camps, ubicadas en el Penedés para cada variedad de uva, garantizan la máxima calidad de sus cavas y vinos.
Pura expresión de terruño.
— Propietat d'Espiells: Es la más grande de las fincas, con 200 hectáreas de viñedo en las zonas de más reconocida calidad vitivinícola del Alt Penedès, al regazo de Montserrat, montaña emergida del mar hace millones de años, que preside la comarca vitivinícola y la protege de los vientos fríos del norte. Viñas viejas, cargadas de historia -Espiells es el nombre de una pequeña capilla románica del S. IX-, plantadas en suelos pobres, bien drenados, de tierras arcillo-calcáreas, a una altitud entre 180 y 245 metros. Terrenos óptimos para el cultivo de las tradicionales variedades macabeo y xarel·lo, y en los que se ha adaptado perfectamente la chardonnay y la pinot noir.
— Mediona: Conjunto de viñedos, los últimos incorporados al patrimonio familiar, situados en terrenos escarpados, de ladera, entre 500 y 750 metros sobre el nivel del mar, que aporta un matiz continental al clima mediterráneo. Se ven sometidos a un fuerte contraste térmico noche-día, esencial para la viticultura de calidad. Can Massana, Alzinetes, El Prat, Mas Pagès y Can Soler, son los nombres de los distintos viñedos, donde las cepas, algunas muy viejas, plantadas en suelos pedregosos, permiten que la variedad autóctona parellada alcance una notable finura y equilibrio.
— La Cuscona: Pequeño y vigoroso viñedo de 17 hectáreas, ubicado en tierras llanas, al sur de Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, de profundos suelos calcáreos, que enriquece el conjunto de fincas con sus diversos microclimas. Una viticultura artesana, de baja producción, permite obtener uvas de la variedad Macabeo de extraordinaria calidad, gran riqueza aromática, llena de matices, y equilibrada estructura. Su aportación es fundamental para los cavas de máxima calidad.
La bodega de Espiells.
El secreto de la uva se desvelará en la bodega, donde la naturaleza se vuelve líquida y el mosto se convierte en vino. Nuestras instalaciones de Espiells, un hito en la historia vitivinícola de la familia, y emblema de progreso en el Penedès.
Espiells.
Conforman un impresionante conjunto arquitectónico rodeado de viñedos, al estilo chateâu bordelés. Aquí se elaboran los vinos con rigor técnico y exigencia enológica poco comunes. Porque sólo la evolución nos permite ser fieles a la tradición. Sobria, elegante, respetuosa con el paisaje, y acogedora, la bodega de Espiells, situada 5 kilómetros al noreste de Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, conjuga funcionalidad y belleza. Amplios espacios, perfectamente acondicionados y equipados, permiten realizar el trabajo de recepción y selección de la uva, así como las tareas de despalillado, prensado, y posterior fermentación en grandes naves de depósitos dotados de temperatura controlada. Todo pensado y diseñado para la óptima vinificación de vinos base para los cavas, así como los vinos de Propietat d’Espiells.
Las cavas en Sant Sadurní d'Anoia.
En la penumbra de las galerías excavadas en la tierra, largas, umbrías y silenciosas, al amparo de corrientes de aire, se produce el milagro de la segunda fermentación en botella por el método tradicional champenoise. Nace la burbuja, la canción del tiempo, con reposadas crianzas en rima de hasta 9 años. Es el trabajo artesano de Juvé & Camps que, generación tras generación, logra convertir la excelencia de sus uvas y vinos base en cavas de gran calidad, finura y elegante carácter. Las cavas de Sant Sadurní d’Anoia se encuentran en el subsuelo de dos edificios unidos entre sí. Galerías construidas por la familia Juvé & Camps desde 1921, y que hoy conforman seis plantas de túneles subterráneos. Con una temperatura constante de entre los 12º C y los 18º C, dependiendo de la época del año y la profundidad de la cava, las botellas maduran lentamente en pupitres y rimas hasta el momento de su expedición. En las cuevas subterráneas de Juvé & Camps todo el trabajo, meticuloso y paciente, se rige por pautas tradicionales y artesanas, con removido manual de las botellas. El objetivo: dotar a los cavas de los aromas sutiles y complejos que junto a la cremosidad, frescura y elegancia, caracterizan nuestros cavas.
