En la Italia de la posguerra, un lugar donde las mujeres de bajos recursos estaban al servicio de los nobles, hubo una joven de nombre Sabina Marzadro que se atrevió a soñar con destilar sus propios licores y grappa. Y lo consiguió. Tras pasar 12 años al servicio de un aristócrata romano, regresó a su tierra natal, donde su hermano Attilio la esperaba para cumplir un sueño juntos: Elaborar una grappa de calidad sirviéndose de las uvas de las parras que crecían en los patios de los labradores.
En el año 1949 comenzaron a llegar al patio de su casa, donde colocaron los alambiques, los primeros carros de orujo, así como los primeros clientes. De hecho, comenzó a oírse en las barras de las tascas cercanas aquello de "ponme un Marzadro"; hoy en día es normal, nada extraño, pero el que lo reconociesen por el nombre de la familia que lo hacía, por aquella época, era algo fuera de lo normal. q.
