Casa Vinicola Caldirola: Brand.

En 1897 Caldirola era una simple taberna en la localidad de Contra, una pequeña aldea en la Comuna de Missaglia, donde se encuentra hoy la actual sede de la Casa Vinicola Caldirola. Fue aquí donde comenzó la historia de Ferdinando Caldirola, que uniría a tres generaciones de su familia con las mesas de la población italiana. Durante la década de 1940, Ferdinando, junto con su hijo Gaetano, transformó la taberna, en ese momento un punto de encuentro popular para los lugareños, en un punto de venta más estructurado. Incluso se diversificó en la venta de carnes curadas, un negocio que requeriría la participación de todos los miembros de la familia. Al principio, el negocio era pequeño. En los años sesenta, el vino es un producto muy demandado que incita a la relajación y calienta el ambiente en la mesa. Durante la década los 60, Gaetano Caldirola explota los mejores viñedos de la región del Piamonte: Barbera, Nebbiolo y Moscato como punto de partida, llegando a contratar a siete personas para embotellar los vinos. En ese momento, el aparato utilizado era manual y solo había un camión que transportaba el vino desde la estación de tren a Missaglia. La pequeña empresa tuvo mucho éxito. Las botellas aún no tenían ninguna etiqueta, simplemente les ponían corchos de colores para distinguir los diferentes viñedos. Durante los años setenta, las plantas de embotellado se vuelven cada vez más tecnológicas hasta que se consiguen la automatización completa. La bodega Gattinara, en la provincia de Vercelli, se convierte en parte de la infraestructura de producción permanente de Caldirola, donde los vinos se someten a un proceso de fermentación natural.
Comienzos del comercio minorista.
Caldirola elige la región de Lombardía como el lugar más adecuado para la comercialización de sus vinos, una región que no solo ofrece la posibilidad de nuevos mercados sino también la disponibilidad de los servicios que se requieren en los alrededores. Las nuevas oportunidades minoristas aumentan rápidamente y están listas para ser aprovechadas. La venta minorista a gran escala es el nuevo objetivo y Nando Caldirola está lista para tomar este camino. La etiqueta se convierte en el protagonista de las campañas promocionales, siendo el medio habitual para comunicar temas importantes. La alta calidad del vino se asocia con un precio razonable y el surtido se vuelve más amplio: Del Piamonte a la Toscana, de Sicilia a los Abruzos. El comercio minorista a gran escala se convierte en una buena excusa para realizar cambios significativos en los procesos de producción. La compañía presenta la campaña "el vacío pierde" y alienta a los consumidores a reciclar sus botellas de vino de vidrio. Es de esta manera que aumenta la conciencia ambiental de la empresa, para desempeñar un papel cada vez más importante con el tiempo.
Nuevos mercados.
Con la consolidación de las ventas en el mercado italiano, la compañía comienza a buscar más oportunidades de ventas. Los primeros pasos de Caldirola fuera de Italia comienzan con Alemania, luego Bélgica, Luxemburgo y finalmente con Moscú. Es durante este período que nace la "Dama" de cinco litros, con un collar creado personalmente por Nando Caldirola. El "Dama" entra en los libros de historia de los envases de vino y, aunque es un formato de envase que se convierte en la norma para el consumidor italiano, en el extranjero se convierte en la marca registrada de la compañía. La ex-Unión Soviética se convierte en un popular destino de viajes de negocios y Gorbachov celebra su viaje a Italia con un vaso de prosecco de Caldirola, mientras que la compañía también comienza su participación de patrocinio en el mundo del deporte. La botella producida especialmente para la copa del mundo en 1990 ingresa a los hogares italianos y los campeones de ciclismo cruzan las calles de Europa con el logotipo de Caldirola en sus camisetas. En este nuevo siglo, la empresa adquiere el éxito que merece como líder italiano de los modernos canales minoristas. Sin embargo, los primeros cinco años del milenio son un período de gran transición en la gestión familiar de la empresa; Nando abandona la gestión de Casa Vinicola Caldirola, comenzando un nuevo camino empresarial. La nueva administración, que posee una importante experiencia enológica, continuará alcanzando y superando los objetivos ya alcanzados y que está en línea con el crecimiento del mercado interno de la compañía, un mayor crecimiento de las exportaciones, el lanzamiento de nuevos productos en línea con los requisitos del mercado, una excelente relación calidad-precio y una combinación de servicios a medida, concebidos específicamente para el sector minorista a gran escala. El marketing ambiental se convierte en una importante opción de comunicación a favor de la sostenibilidad ambiental.
