La IGT.
Ocupa la región de Veneto en el noreste de Italia, es una de las denominaciones más utilizadas en el país. Cubre una amplia gama de estilos de vino de Veneto: se podría decir que es la sala de máquinas de la industria del vino de Italia. Cada año, bajo este título, se produce y se vende un número considerable de vinos tintos, blancos y rosados. Dada la región de origen, los vinos Veneto IGT se basan mayoritariamente en variedades como Pinot Grigio, la Garganega y Corvina, las variedades de uva tradicionales y más utilizadas de la región de Veneto. Las reglas relativamente liberales que rigen la producción de vinos IGT significan que también se utilizan varias uvas no autóctonas, especialmente las variedades de Burdeos Cabernet Sauvignon , Cabernet Franc , Carménère y Merlot. En términos de geografía, cultura y estilos de vino, Veneto representa una transición entre el extremo alpino, germano-eslavo de Italia y las tierras más cálidas, más secas y más romanas del sur. Los vinos y el clima.
La región del Véneto se puede dividir aproximadamente en tres áreas geográficas, distinguidas por su topografía y geología. En el noroeste, las estribaciones de los Alpes descienden a lo largo del borde oriental del lago de Garda, su camino reflejado por el río Adige a medida que desciende desde las alturas del Alto Adige.
