MURI-GRIES es más que una bodega. No solo es la coexistencia de la vida monástica y el ajetreado trabajo de bodega lo que lidera el día, sino también el trabajo en nuestras propias 35 hectáreas de viñedos en los mejores lugares de Bolzano y sus alrededores. Todo esto unió la historia hace más de un siglo. Es un trabajo muy especializado. De la mano, convencidos y decididos, impulsados por la voluntad incondicional de aprender y optimizar constantemente la calidad de cada vino. El año 1845 marcó la entrada de los benedictinos del suizo Muri a Gries. En este momento, la comunidad religiosa se hizo cargo de los cánones agustinos y, por lo tanto, una larga tradición vitivinícola, que allanó el camino para una simbiosis de monasterio, bodega y bodega que continúa hasta nuestros días. Al llegar al siglo XXI, MURI-GRIES produce los mejores productos, como los vinos de la línea "Abtei Muri", que se elabora en los mejores lugares seleccionados desde 1989.
El Lagrein.
Hemos tomado una decisión clara sobre la variedad de uva Lagrein autóctona y la hemos mantenido durante mucho tiempo. Es un trabajo sostenible con una uva que se siente cómoda en nuestros viñedos monásticos, está en nuestra casa y prospera de manera excelente. Cada año nos da resultados más expresivos. También se lo debemos a nuestras viñas viejas de la década de 1930, de las cuales cultivamos un material de uva exquisito y trabajamos constantemente para descubrir su carácter distintivo: Un vino tinto elegante con identidad, maravillosamente complejo y realista. Nuestro buque insignia. Hay muchas razones para querer este tipo de uva, el Lagrein, una variedad de uva que es nativa del Tirol del Sur, que está llena de un carácter que emociona y logra destacar claramente. El Lagrein recuerda una historia de más de seis siglos en el Tirol del Sur y siempre se ha adaptado al microclima local. Un legado con el que nos sentimos comprometidos y al que estamos particularmente dedicados con nuestro proyecto de ubicación y nuestro intenso trabajo de investigación en el viñedo y la bodega. Durante más de dos décadas, se han observado hasta 20 biotipos de Lagrein en nuestras mejores ubicaciones, de las cuales seleccionamos el viñedo para nuevas plantaciones con el fin de descubrir continuamente la identidad y la naturaleza especial de la variedad de uva.
