La Indicación Geográfica Típica "Isola dei Nuraghi", está reservada para vinos que cumplan las condiciones y requisitos establecidos en la especificación de producción, con los siguientes tipos: El área de producción de vino IGT Isola dei Nuraghi se encuentra en la Región de Cerdeña e incluye todo el territorio regional. El IGT Isola dei Nuraghi incluye los siguientes tipos de vino: blanco, tinto, rosado, vino blanco espumoso, vino rosado rosado, vino espumoso rojo, passito blanco, blanco de uvas demasiado maduras, pasito rojo, tinto de uvas demasiado maduras y jóvenes. Los vinos con indicación geográfica típica "Isola dei Nuraghi" blanco, tinto y rosado deben obtenerse de uvas procedentes de viñedos compuestos dentro de la empresa, de una o más viñas recomendadas y/o autorizadas para las provincias respectivas mencionadas con las uvas de color correspondiente. Pequeña historia.
Múltiples campañas de excavación llevadas a cabo en varios sitios arqueológicos en Cerdeña han revelado semillas de uva carbonizadas que datan de 1.300 a. C., que dan testimonio de la presencia de una cultura vitivinícola establecida en Cerdeña antes de la entrada de los fenicios. Se han encontrado varios recipientes de "vino" que caracterizan el repertorio vascular extremadamente rico y original, con las típicas jarras de ascoides y pequeños "askos" en hierro, bronce y cerámica de fina mano de obra. También se han encontrado docenas de ánforas de transporte de vino de la Edad Romana Imperial y Tardía. Como evidencia de la continuidad del cultivo de la vid en el área durante algunos milenios, es apropiado informar la entrada de un registro de los gastos del Archivo Vaticano, desde principios del siglo XVII, que menciona la compra de vino blanco Telavé de la aldea. Durante el período Giudicato (900 - 1400) se emitieron las primeras reglas para proteger los cultivos agrícolas, también presentes en la "Carta de Logu" de Eleonora di Arborea (1392), un código legislativo que permaneció vigente hasta el período piamontés. El uso de uvas silvestres por los sardos está confirmado por la propia Carta de Logu, que también contiene disposiciones contra el comercio de uvas silvestres. El vendedor y el comprador podrían tener serios problemas: pena financiera y encarcelamiento "a voluntaddi nostra", es decir, del rey. A principios de 1300 en la época medieval, Cerdeña estaba bajo el dominio de Pisan y Sarrabus y Ogliastra fueron identificados por los nuevos gobernantes como tanques de vino. No faltan noticias sobre la cantidad, la calidad y el origen de los vinos en la capital del reino entre los siglos XV y XV, los flujos de suministro delinean dos corrientes: una del campo a la ciudad; el otro vino navegado introducido en la ciudad a través del puerto. El campo circundante y las villas más o menos cercanas, cuando la guerra no estaba en su apogeo, alimentaban a Cagliari con mosto y vino relleno, el genérico blanco y rojo de Cerdeña. Unos siglos más tarde, Bacci, en 1596, escribió sobre el hábito de los sardos de producir vino a partir de vides silvestres. En 1746, un extenso informe histórico geográfico elaborado por el Intendente General del Reino, Francesco Giuseppe de la Perrière, conde de Viry, dio una descripción detallada de la Cerdeña rural al proponer la imagen de una viticultura generalizada en toda la isla. Estudios de biología molecular han permitido establecer las relaciones genéticas entre la vid doméstica y la vid silvestre progenitora. Los rasgos genéticos compartidos entre la vid silvestre y algunos cultivares locales sugieren una relación de parentesco entre las dos subespecies y respaldan la hipótesis de un centro de domesticación secundario en Cerdeña. Los episodios de domesticación de viñas silvestres por parte de viticultores han sido identificados por CRAS (el Centro Experimental Agrícola Regional de la Región de Cerdeña) ahora fusionado en AGRIS Cerdeña (Agencia de Investigación en Agricultura de Cerdeña). La calidad particular de los vinos sardos se conoce desde hace mucho tiempo.
