El 12 de julio de 1966, tres años después de la promulgación de la ley sobre las Denominaciones de Origen, se emitió el Decreto del Presidente de la República que reconoció la Denominación de Origen Controlada (DOC) "Vino Nobile di Montepulciano", que regula su producción. Historia.
