En la magnífica zona del Valle de Isarco y del municipio de Bressanone, donde la viticultura se lleva practicando desde hace dos mil años, el último milenio de ellos ha tenido a Abbazia di Novacella como protagonista del lugar. Aquí, donde los racimos crecen a hasta 900 metros de altitud y donde las extremas condiciones climáticas exaltan la aromaticidad y la tensión de la uva, Abbazia di Novacella representa desde 1142 una pieza indispensable de la historia del lugar. Modelo ejemplar de sostenibilidad ambiental, la abadía propiedad de los monjes agustinos ofrece un catálogo de vinos tan extenso como excelso. Los vinos cotidianos se distinguen por su ágil frescura y una elegancia plenamente armónica e integrada, producto de una muy cuidada selección de las uvas. Conocer los vinos de Novacella significa documentarse enciclopédicamente sobre las variedades de Tirol del Sur. Vinos de espíritu centroeuropeo como sus Grüner Veltliner, Kerner y Sylvaner de encantadora factura. En la misma línea se encuentran los vinos de la selección Praepositus, que hoy en día ya no necesitan presentación. El mítico Riesling, vendimiado entre octubre y diciembre y vinificado sólo en acero, uno de los vinos italianos mas galardonados, típicamente mineral, rico, redondo, infinito y de perfil "italiano" en todo momento. Junto a él, su Gewürztraminer, un vino con aromas especiados y de chocolate y una gran estructura; y el Sylvaner, un vino vinificado parcialmente en madera de acacia que sorprende por su potencia y complejidad.
