Afrutados, intrigantes, de impecable corrección... así son los vinos que desde 1978 produce Hans Terzer en la histórica bodega cooperativa de San Michele Appiano. La linea clásica de la bodega se ha distinguido siempre por su inmediatez y por su fiel expresión tanto del viñedo como del territorio, con productos que han escrito la historia del vino del Alto Adige y han marcado sin duda la vinicultura de esta región. Nombres como Merol, Montiggl, Schulthauser, Anger, Lahn, junto con los reservas de la casa, constituyen los vértices de esta producción. Las mejores selecciones de la bodega son las que encontramos en la línea Sanct Valentin, que no desdeña los envejecimientos en madera y ha supuesto una de las cumbres del vino de Tirol del Sur de los últimos treinta años. Aquí se funden a la perfección la elegancia y la mineralidad, perpetuando los sorprendentes resultados de esta histórica finca homónima del siglo XV localizada en el municipio de Appiano. En la actualidad, dos nuevas lineas se sitúan en los vértices cualitativos de su producción: TWC (The Wine Collection), por ahora con un extraordinario Sauvignon de autor de producción limitada y con un año de envejecimiento en toneles, y Appius, un coupage de chardonnay, sauvignon, pinot grigio y pinot bianco que representa según Hans Terzer un "vino de ensueño", criado en contacto con sus lías, en depósitos de acero y en madera y con un increíble potencial de envejecimiento.
