El espíritu y el liderazgo de papá Isio desempeñaron un papel crítico en la liberación de Negros del dominio español, llevando en última instancia a la independencia para su país. Don Papa Rum encarna el espíritu de independencia, irreverencia y sentido de justicia de Papa Isio.
