Los comienzos.

En 1974, la familia Bertè-Cordini se hizo cargo de una de las bodegas más históricas de Oltrepò Pavese: Cantine Francesco Montagna, fundada en 1895. Los miembros de la familia Bertè-Cordini, Natale, Mariella y Antonio, comenzaron un nuevo capítulo en la empresa, pero decidieron quedarse. El nombre original como homenaje al fundador. Origen.

La variedad barbera tiene su origen las colinas de Monferratto, en el Piamonte central, donde ya era conocida en el siglo XIII. Vinos.
