El área de Bergerac contiene 13 Appellations d'Origine Contrôlées (AOC) para vinos tintos, blancos (secos, dulces medios) y rosados. Los viñedos se extienden a través de la parte sur del departamento de Dordogne, el Arrondissement (distrito urbano) de Bergerac. El suelo de Bergerac también cuenta con un excelente drenaje debido a su proximidad al río Dordogne.
